Definition:
Often called a DEPTH INTERVIEW. A non-directive interview in which the RESPONDENT is encouraged to talk about the subject, rather than to answer specific questions. The interviewer uses a topic list, which sets out a list of points that should be covered during the interview; his role is to guide the conversation, rather than to ask formal QUESTIONS.
