Television Consumer Audit (TCA)
Definition:
Commercial research service commissioned and subsidized by the seven largest television CONTRACTING COMPANIES. Advertisers spending a stipulated minimum budget with each of the companies can receive four-weekly reports on the consumption of selected product groups in their broadcast area, computed from weekly PANTRY CHECKS in a sample of households. The data are cross-tabulated by intensity of ITV viewing.
