Definition:
Organisations which sell television and radio ADVERTISING TIME to MEDIA BUYERS on behalf of the individual stations. Five cover almost all the television options available to British advertisers: Carlton UK Sales, Laser and TSMS collectively represent the ITV network, British Sky Broadcasting and Zierler Media the satellite and cable channels. Four radio sales houses share the UK. network on a more or less country-by-country basis. MSM (Media Sales & Marketing) represents more than 70 stations throughout England, another 22 being handled by Katz Radio Sales. SIRS (Scottish and Irish Radio Sales) sells time on all but one of the 19 stations in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and First Choice Radio Sales & Marketing represents 5 in Wales and the Welsh Borders.
