sales analysis

Definition:
The process of interpreting the pattern of sales orders obtained in the marketplace. (2) This term may also refer, more widely, to the interpretation of all data - including sales orders - from the marketplace. While such analysis serves the company in a variety of ways, it is particularly useful as a measure of the effectiveness of the salesforce.
