Definition:
Collective description of newspapers and, less often, magazines, which circulate regionally, e.g. the Yorkshire Post or the Los Angeles Times. The boundaries are blurred between the regional and LOCAL PRESS; the implied contrast is with the NATIONAL PRESS.
