Not yet formally in exist. once at the time of writing, this body will replace the INDEPENDENT BROADCASTING AUTHORITY as the body exercising statutory control over COMMERCIAL RADIO broadcasting in the UK from 1990. The intention has already been announced to exert a 'lighter touch' in such matters than its predecessors.
