physical product

Definition:
Also referred to as the tangible PRODUCT. It is the product manager's job to turn a CORE PRODUCT into a physical product. They may possess up to five identifiable characteristics: a quality level, features, styling, a BRAND name and packaging. Frozen chickens, compact discs, Filofax and Margaret Thatcher are all physical/tangible products.
