peak time

Definition:
The period of the day when television audiences are at their highest and the CONTRACTING COMPANIES therefore charge the highest price for ADVERTISING TIME. The general definition of television peak time is from six until eleven in the evening. The radio term is PRIME TIME, though 'peak time' may be used as well.
