Definition:
A.C. NIELSON Co. Ltd. operates its Retail Index services in over 27 countries. These services consist of undertaking RETAIL AUDITS (in grocers, confectioners, pharmacies etc.) every two months to provide information to subscribers on purchases, STOCKS, SALES PROMOTIONS and price levels over a range of CONSUMER goods. The data produced can provide information on MARKET SIZE, MARKET SHARES and effectiveness of pricing and promotional methods to subscribing manufacturers.
