Newspaper Society
Definition:
UK trade association representing regional daily and weekly newspapers, founded in 1836. In addition to a wide range of services and activities in the general interest of regional newspaper publishers, it acts on their behalf in wage negotiations and industrial disputes, and is one of the trade associations which award 'recognition' to RECOGNIZED ADVERTISING AGENCIES.
