Definition:
A selling method in which the product or service is promoted by either media advertising or DIRECT MAIL and the prospective buyer is invited to order by post. The product is then usually delivered through the mail, though larger items will be delivered by carrier. If the promotional vehicle is media advertising, the alternative term is DIRECT RESPONSE ADVERTISING.
