Definition:
A distributor of PRODUCTS serving industrial or organizational MARKETS, e.g. steel stockholders and heavy duty battery distributors. Manufacturers of industrial products may have a national or international network of industrial distributors to assist them in reaching their ultimate customers. Industrial distributors provide a valuable range of services depending upon their size, resources and proficiency. Services offered can include breaking bulk, making up mixed consignments of goods, holding STOCKS, local deliveries, local ADVERTISING, providing credit to customers. Industrial distributors can be independent organizations or form part of the distribution activity of large companies.
