incentive marketing

Definition:
A growing activity which encourages employers and sellers to offer incentives for above AVERAGE performance. While many incentives are small 'give-aways', like pens and T-shirts, the nature and value at the top end is exhibiting considerable ingenuity, with hospitality and travel assuming increasing importance as incentives.
