family brand

Definition:
A BRAND NAME/identity used for two or more PRODUCTS usually produced by some manufacturer, e.g. Ford, Heinz, Philips. However, family brands are also associated with major RETAILERS such as Sears, Marks & Spencer and C&A etc.
