channel change
Definition:
The relationship between members of a CHANNEL OF DISTRIBUTION is subject to conflict from time to time. When the conflict is dysfunctional then the relationship is severed and a new set of organizations develops. The change is explained as creative destruction by Schumpeter and by other more detailed models of explanation as cycle theories, the CORE-FRINGE MODEL, the crisis change model, and the dialectical model.
