catalogue retailing
Definition:
The sale of goods to the general public through the medium of a catalogue. The range of merchandise may be wide (e.g. Littlewoods) or focused on a specific category of goods such as car accessories. Catalogue retailers usually operate through MAIL ORDER and offer extended credit terms.
