Definition:
The Berne Union, officially known as the International Union of Credit & Investment Insurers was created in 1934 and aims "to actively facilitate cross-border trade by supporting international acceptance of sound principles in export credits and foreign investment and to provide a forum for professional exchanges amongst its members" http://www.berneunion.org.uk/history.htm
