Definition:
That stage in the research process when data are examined for relationships among observed variables. For example, if a relationship between occupation and income is hypothesized, the data would be examined or analysed to confirm or refute that hypothesis. Analysis can be quantitative or qualitative, depending upon what type of data is collected.
