Special Issues

JCB is designed to bridge the perceived gap between consumer behaviour and organisational buyer behaviour. It is concerned equally with individual, household and organisational buyer behaviour and is particularly interested in theories, concepts and insights from core social sciences as well as disciplinary subjects.

In accordance with its policy, the Journal of Customer Behaviour welcomes contributions from theoreticians and practitioners in the following areas:

State of the art papers on particular topics
e.g. customer loyalty, customer relationship management, interaction and networks, relationship marketing
Management of the supply chain
all issues involved in the creation and maintenance of efficient and effective supply chains; logistics; outsourcing; procurement; retailing etc.
Customer behaviour
how and why both corporate and ultimate customers behave in the way they do
Marketing intelligence
the establishment and maintenance of marketing information systems and everything associated with them; segmentation, targeting and positioning; database management etc.

Customer loyalty and Customer Relationship Management

Products versus Services

how does buyer/customer behaviour vary, if at all, when choosing between different categories of purchase.
Case studies
how an organisation has tackled an important marketing problem; the application of theory to practice.
Meta marketing
how marketing ideas and techniques are applied to the less- or non-traditional areas of services, public and non-profit organisations

JCB also publishes "Special Issues".

 

 GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING A SPECIAL ISSUE PROPOSAL

 Proposals should include the following information:

• A description of what the issue would be about and how it fits in with JCB’s philosophy.

• Who the editors would be with an indication of their editorial/review experience and
   details of potential reviewers.

• Details of any planned invited submissions.

• Draft text of Call for Papers.

• Details of how many papers there will be in the issue.

• If the issue will be comprised of papers submitted to a conference, workshop or similar event,
  please make this clear in the proposal.

We would recommend that there is a minimum of two editors for a special issue.

REVIEW PROCESS

It is the responsibility of the guest editor(s) to handle the reviewing process. All papers will need to go through a standard double-blind review process and details of this will be provided on acceptance of a proposal.
